- Multi-Layered Ground Combat – Methodically mop up alien forces across different landscapes, ranging from forests to roads to plains. Your positioning on the turn-based map will determine the parameters of the fights that occur. Attacked an enemy vehicle without anti-tank weapons? Sounds like your problem…
- Physics-Based Combat – Fighting occurs on a physics-driven landscape. All projectiles follow ballistic trajectories, and all objects are fully destructible. You can either use this to your advantage, or fall victim to it.
- Strategic Planning – Elements such as funding, resource management, and strategic decision-making are needed as you progress. Will you share your progress to benefit the larger struggle against the aliens? Or will you turn to corruption, either to line your own pockets or for your own salvation?
- Experience Gain – All of your soldiers, granted that they survive, will improve their fighting skill over time… but so will your enemy. Will you act cautiously and avoid unnecessary deaths of experienced men, or will you recklessly throw away conscripts into the meat grinder just to train the aliens to fight better?
