Greetings! Today, I will explain the infantry, vehicles and core game-play mechanics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infantry Equipment and Roles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can rarely win without boots on the ground. Infantry comes with many types of equipment depending on their role. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In most squads, riflemen<\/strong> are the most common role. As the name suggests, they are usually equipped with a semi-automatic or select-fire rifle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some soldiers use more quick-firing weapons. These machine gunners<\/strong> can better suppress enemies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assault engineers<\/strong> generally use heavy weapons, such as grenade launchers and anti-tank weaponry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of just throwing bullets at the enemy, we also have to hit them! Marksmen<\/strong> and snipers<\/strong> carry scoped rifles for range and accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most squads come with a good mix of load outs. However, losing a key member of the squad can mean trouble!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Use of Vehicles<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A combat vehicle can improve a squad’s fighting strength. Vehicles come in different forms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Firstly, armored personnel carriers<\/strong> (APCs), armed with machine guns or autocannons, can cheaply increase a squad’s firepower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, however, these tend to explode at the first sight of enemy anti-tank weapons…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Infantry fighting vehicles<\/strong> (IFVs) also equip machine guns or autocannons, but have stronger armor. This comes at a higher cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An IFV lays down suppressive fire to support the advancing infantrymen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, main battle tanks <\/strong>(MBTs) have great firepower, heavy armor, and can… well, tank heavy fire. However, these will break the bank, so you cannot take too many of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Close Quarters Combat UI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To successfully fight the enemy, you should also learn about the user interface. This is used to command your soldiers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The in-game interface is used to issue orders and view details about your squad.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The top panel (1)<\/mark> <\/strong>shows cards corresponding to each soldier. Clicking on one will select the soldier, moving the camera to his position. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The soldier display (2)<\/mark><\/strong> monitors the soldier’s vital signs. The buttons here command the soldier to change his stance and movement speed. (However, panic or exhaustion may stop a soldier from listening to you.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weapon display (3)<\/mark><\/strong> tells you about the soldier’s weapon. The buttons are used to control the fire selection and to switch to a different weapon, if the soldier has another. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The squad display (4)<\/mark><\/strong> allows you to give orders to the entire squad. (Once again, panicked soldiers may not always listen.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lastly, the tactical map <\/mark><\/strong>(5)<\/strong><\/mark> shows a bird’s eye view of the battlefield. It is also used to give orders to the selected soldier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
